Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant armed security officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their properties. This role requires a proactive approach to security, excellent observation skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. WSE has multiple positions for armed officers at the moment. We are currently seeking an armed mobile officer as well as a flex armed officer, willing to travel the State of Oregon for various jobs

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
  • Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Provide assistance in conflict management situations, utilizing de-escalation techniques when necessary.
  • Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed for investigations or emergencies.
  • Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and property damage.
  • Maintain proficiency in first aid and CPR; provide assistance in medical emergencies as required.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Valid armed security officer license or certification as required by state regulations.
  • Previous experience in law enforcement, military service, or security roles preferred.
  • Knowledge of conflict management strategies and loss prevention practices.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
  • Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and interaction with clients and law enforcement personnel.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
